K.I.S.S.

IMG_0262The quest for simplicity has been so complicated, my daughter recently told me. Yes, I get that. A bright, creative idea can get bogged down in the nitty-gritty of its implementation. It isn’t easy to keep it basic.

In sculpting and in writing, I feel that if I take something away and don’t miss it, then I didn’t need it in the first place. Keep It Simple, Sweetheart! The modest, bare core says the most and feels genuine.

My friend found himself at a loss for words when his elderly friend passed away. He didn’t feel adequate to express how much he cared for his friend and his sense of loss. He found these simple words when speaking to the family, “It is the natural course of life. A flower blooms and dies. It is nature.” Although I only know a snippet of the conversation, his words seemed unencumbered and heartfelt.

I leave you today with this simple thought…K.I.S.S. often!

Hopefully next week, I will have a communication board in place. I’d love to hear your thoughts.
