Not Knowing But Proceeding Anyway

FullSizeRender-50I am finding that one of the hardest things to do is to proceed without knowing or understanding the outcome.  Why did my friend behave like she did?  How will people respond to my writing?  Why?  How?  When?  Face it…we don’t know!  It is impossible to know what another person is thinking or why they do something unless they tell me. Their behavior is based on their needs and code of ethics which might manifest without the person herself even knowing why.  I can’t make an assumption that others share my motivation or needs.  If I do this, then why don’t they do that?  It doesn’t work that way.  They have their own MO which may seem foreign to me but it is based on their experiences and beliefs.

As for planning for the future, who knows what the scenario will be at that time?  Will that plan still make sense or have to be changed or will it change itself without my input?

So, how do we proceed in the face of uncertainty?  Do our best and let it go. Formulate the best plan with the available information, be the most authentic and honest and give up needing to know how it is received.  It’s hard, but if we are open we can move forward and grow even though we don’t know our effect on others or on our future.  When the playing field changes, keep doing our best.  A wise person recently referred to the Kabbalah and said “Pour a glass of water into the ocean,” meaning that if you add your abundance to greater abundance you get connected to its vastness.   Your thoughts?

Perfect words as always, Ellie! Being authentic and honest and doing my best is the greatest gift I can give to myself and to the world. I can laugh at myself when I do stray off course and then I wonder, “Was that really me that did or said that?”

My motto is: I never make mistakes, I only create opportunities to laugh at myself and I am VERY funny!
Blessings and much love to you my friend, I love to read your thoughts and bits of wisdom. You inspire me! The energy and love in your writing lifts me up, keep it coming!
