Here’s a weird one for you. We were away for five days. It was really hot at home, and we were glad to have escaped record highs.
We returned home on Monday night and aired out the house. After unpacking and putting pictures on Facebook, we finally fell asleep only to be awakened by a crash in the house. We looked all around and couldn’t find anything out of place…no picture fell off a wall or bird flew into a window. Totally bewildered, curious and a little freaked out, we went back to sleep. A full moon and strange sounds! Could we have dreamed the sound? No!
The next morning we were insistent on finding what had happened. Another walk-through produced nothing out of the ordinary. Scanning the house from top to bottom, this time we opened all cabinets. There was the culprit. A beer bottle exploded! It broke three wine glasses and seeped out of the cabinet making a puddle on the floor. Amazed and amused, we cleaned up the mess. What a bizarre event! Welcome home! Have you ever heard of that before?
