First Days in Santa Fe

photo 2 (1)“Hi, I’m Ellie.”

“Hi Ellie.  Where do you live?”

“Santa Fe.”

“How long have you lived there?”

“Two hours.”

Actually, it’s been two days, fun-filled and exciting days.  Along with ten thousand other people, I went to the Folk Art Market where people from all over the world sell their crafts.  Some of them make ten times their yearly income in three days.  I feel like I traveled the world today and came home in time for dinner.

Now I am sitting on my porch on a sunny evening watching a storm come in over the mountain. There is a band of dark clouds announced by birds flying just ahead of it.  Some thunder and lightning in that small band, but the rest of the sky is sunny.  Strange weather here in the high desert.

Check out the Facebook page to see more pictures and videos of the Art Market.
