Are you obsessed with the Pope? I am! I hang on every word, nuance, touch, and kiss. I watched his plane arrive and cried when I saw him emerge. I’m not even Catholic!
His message of inclusion, respect of differences, responsibility to take care of each other, and cooperation have been so inspiring. I am mesmerized by his humility, knowledge of worldly affairs, and authenticity, and his courage to say exactly what he means. Clarity is what we need! A parent telling us what is not acceptable and what is imperative for us to handle right now. A world leader who teaches service and compassionate treatment of all by example, an extraordinary man who delivers his message differently to Congress than to individual families and who is always deeply and authentically present. A man who lives in grace and who is not above asking for our prayers and blessings.
I am so very grateful that he came to America and brought us these messages. I got a glimpse of the man, the icon, the spiritual leader. I’m fired up and ready for more! You?
I could not agree more. The Pope is our hope for a future apart from what we have been living. In Italy he is revered. The news there does a story on him nearly daily. He represents so much hope for humanity, God bless Papa Francesco.
