In the Japanese art of kintsugi a pot is repaired with glue infused with gold, silver or platinum making it even more beautiful and valuable than before. New patterns resulting from the glue lines add interest, depth and texture that had no place on the original perfect piece.
The same applies to our lives. What looks like a mistake can be made more valuable if repaired with conscious choices laced with learning and growth. Mistakes have a purpose…learn from them! Allow them to change you. In that sense, they weren’t mistakes at all.
