Sometimes I find myself saying, “Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!” over and over again. That’s it. Nothing before or after, no qualifications or attachments. Not asking for anything or thanking for something that happened. Pure and simple…thank you!
It’s spontaneous, unpredictable and unplanned, bubbling up and spilling over. That’s how I like it. Not forced or expected or required, but feeling enveloped and overwhelmed with gratitude. It’s too much joy to contain. I believe that it is being in a state of grace. Prayer comes in many different forms. When it is authentic and heartfelt it is a gift to being alive.
