You might think that this is weird, but I am going to share it anyway. Are you ready? I do eye exercises. That’s right. Everyday before I get out of bed I exercise my eyes. They were recommended by my doctor drawing on his Ayurvedic (ancient Indian medical) background. They were also suggested by the Chinese doctors when I learned qigong in China. Why not? We exercise other parts of our bodies so let’s not forget our eye muscles. They need a workout, too.
Here’s how it goes. With your head still, look left and then right ten times. Then look up and down ten times. Then diagonally from upper left to lower right ten times. Then diagonally from upper right to lower left ten times. Then do ten circles to the right and ten circles to the left. Lastly, focus on a distant point and then focus up close on something like your hand in front of your face. Do that ten times. Now you are ready to start the day!
This does not replace going to the gym, but it just might hold off a stronger eye glass prescription as my doctor suggested. Have fun! And if anyone questions you, just say that you need more clarity in your life.
