Changing Glasses

photo 3(3)Some people see everything through the same lens.  No matter how the conversation starts out, it always ends up the same way.  Whether their interpretation is through politics, money, aging or relationships, it is predictable and relentless.  It always comes down to the same conclusion which is reached through their tinted view.

Surprise me!  Shake it up!  It would be refreshing for the political people to talk about relationships or the money people to talk about the environment or the hopeless people to talk about investing in their futures.

I wonder what people think about the way that I interpret things. “Oh no!  Here comes Ellie. She’ll probably be talking about universal laws or learning life lessons.  Don’t get her started on human values. I am NOT in the mood for THAT!”

Well, I’m going to surprise my friends at dinner tonight.  I’m going to talk about the USA/Ghana game at the World Cup and the Peruvian pre-Inca shroud returned from Sweden.  How’s that for shaking it up?

I love this…how many times do I hear the silent groan or eye roll when someone gets near me. Here comes Miss Positive…LOL I’ll give your suggestion a try, no uplifting, encouraging conversations today…I’ll be someone else for one day. 🙂
