Lowering Tolerance

Do you have a high tolerance for things that bother you? I do. I let things go on and on way past their reasonable life span. I wore the same foggy swimming goggles until I almost hit the edge of the pool because I couldn’t see it. And how about picture frames? A friend once came into my house and asked who was the person on the motor cycle in the picture frame. I embarrassedly responded that it was Georgia O’Keeffe and it came with the frame. A year after I had received it as a gift, I still hadn’t replaced the original picture with my family.

Foods? What is your tolerance?  Spaghetti and meat sauce lose their appeal on the fourth day, and I seem to keep lettuce one day after it absolutely refuses to stay alive.  Foods transfer life force only when they are visually and energetically alive, as our environment supports our work and family when it reflects what is in our hearts.

I enjoy letting go a little sooner, staying in a natural flow. I was delighted when I could see the bottom of the pool with new goggles, and I vow to let lettuce stay around only as long as it has life energy.  Refresh, energize and replace are my new guides.
