Writing With Purpose and Vision

IMG_8342-2I listened to an interview with a famous author on how to get your book published.  He was full of energy and advice on how to utilize social media, publish millions of books around the world, meet interesting people, make lots of money, and get continual speaking engagements.  As I am always thinking of writing a book, I was a interested to hear his suggestions.

His talk offered helpful marketing tips, but his energy stressed me out.  It is obvious that we are made of different clay and our goals and methods in writing reflect very different approaches.  I came away understanding that there are many ways to do what you want in whatever field you choose.  Be real with your own rhythm and integrity, purpose and vision.  Take advice from others and mix it together with your intuition.  Do it your way!  Being true to your authentic self will illuminate a path that is in harmony with your unique offering and, voila, success!  It has to be!

I agree Ellie. Writing from your heart and being true to yourself comes fist, always. Then some of the tips about marketing can be applied if they feel true to who you are. Keep writing my friend!
