Who Cares?

IMG_4813Here’s the deal. You can diminish yourself because you believe that you are not good enough. You can refuse pleasure for fear of being seen as selfish or ignoring others or not risk an adventure because you are not as strong as you used to be. There are excuses and reasons to justify inertia.  You can become smaller than you are or larger than you feel because who you really are is not enough.

Here’s the truth. Nobody cares. That discussion goes on in your head between you and your past. Nobody gives you an award at the end of your life for belittling or diminishing or holding back.  No one cares that much.  Why not try moving forward with passion and courage?  Just try.  When I was apprehensive about going to a workshop where I didn’t know anyone my daughter told me that I got points just for going.  You might inspire others.  It’s all in your attitude.  Some say, “What a difference a day makes.”  I say, “What a difference a change in attitude makes.”
