Tuning In To Help

Sometimes we think that we are meant to negotiate this thing called life alone, with no help, on our own trying to figure out each move in the wilderness of choices. Actually, we always have help. It is just difficult to find it if we are not aware of what to look for.

Last night I was doing a challenging project on the computer. The more frustrated I got, the more difficult the task became. Then, the mouse kept getting stuck. I had to pick it up and start at the corner of the pad each time I wanted to do a function. I felt my breathing getting shallow and stomach getting tight and even heard a few audible sighs. When I closed out the program and started another project the mouse worked perfectly.

Author Esther Hicks tells the story of when she had an intense desire to have a McDonald’s ice cream sundae even though she knew it wasn’t good for her. Every time she pulled up to a McDonald’s, their ice cream machine was broken. Believe it or not, these two occasions illustrate the help that is always available for us.

If we set our intention to listen to blockages of energy like these, we can hear the messages that direct us to relief and better thoughts or actions that are more in alignment with what we need at the time.  I was grateful for that message last night.  It saved me from myself!

Please share.

I really enjoyed reading this and have had a similar experience w social media. When I know I should not be wasting my time there but go on anyway, I will often read something stupid that makes me feel mad. A strong message to do something else 🙂
