Who isn’t charmed by a curious, impish, little boy sporting a baseball cap of oak leaves? Spike has come through with the naive energy of a child in awe of the workings of the forest. With a body of leaves, twigs and acorn eyes, Spike is the quintessential product of a living organism.
Spike is the one who holds up the group to examine a turtle withdrawn in his shell or to explore a hole in the ground. He reminds us to notice the intricacy of a spider web and a drip of water creating ripples as it gently splashes into a puddle. Spike took his time to arrive but, yup, Spike is here.
I love Spike!
Spike just told me that he loves you, too!
