Seeking Authenticity

IMG_2480

People are increasingly aware of authenticity, in our politicians, friends, family and in ourselves.  Who can we trust to be true to his/her word?  Who is behind the facade of electability?  Who is at the core when the layers of the onion are peeled back?

I have always been interested in being real.  I know what it feels like to hide my deep and honest thoughts and beliefs to fit into a group that won’t accept differences.  But that doesn’t buy satisfaction or a sense of truly belonging.  Being real is what survives when all else falls away.  People will often come around and accept differing beliefs when they feel that it comes from authenticity.  A commitment to being authentic is a noble goal and a joyful way to live.

I welcome your thoughts.

    Hey there, Ellie.

I love your message of being authentic. What occurs to me is that there is so much irony when someone is inauthentic to fit in with people who are not accepting; being inauthentic attracts the very people that we say we don’t like. We get what we give!

    Cheers,

HI Ellie, I look for authentic people to fit in with me, others need not apply. 🙂 I will not hide my true self, take me as I am or find another…there is plenty to choose from and you are a keeper my friend! xoxoxox
