History Made Today

Ellie's phone pictures 107I usually stay away from political subjects, but I am overwhelmed at the show of support at the French rallies today.  As I stood in the airport on my way home from visiting children, I was mesmerized and spellbound by what I saw on the television.

I believe that today marks a shift in our global consciousness.  Today the peaceful sector of society showed up and spoke of refusing to accept being victimized by terror and aggression.  They offered a face of peace and inclusion and stood up to intolerable acts against humanity.  Three million people from around the world, including leaders from dissenting countries, put separation and differences aside to march for a unified cause. Personal gain gave way to passionate support of others demonstrating the power of oneness and solidarity.  It was inspiring and hugely significant.

I believe that this is a turning point of epic proportion.  I think that we will see more people stand united in peaceful co-existence.  It has been said that there now exists more positive than negative energy on our planet.  But, the positive majority has been quieter than the negative minority.  That might be changing.  I will be alert to sense the momentum of this shift.
