Finding the Positive

534“Drop negative thoughts.  Stay positive,” our qigong master teacher said.  “Turn negative into positive.  Have a happy and peaceful heart.  Anger churns up the waters, but a peaceful heart calms the water so we can see and reflect clearly.”  Good advice.   And, from her story, it is obvious that it can be done in any circumstance.

One day she was driving on unfamiliar roads.  She drove way too slowly and cautiously.  A truck behind her inched closer and closer until he was able to break away and pass her.  As he passed he yelled, “Fucking girl!”  My positive and powerful Chinese master thought,  “Wow!  He called me a girl!  I must look really young!”  All day long she delighted in the thought that she was looking really vibrant and youthful.  She was bursting with happiness.

His comment.  Her choice.  Our lesson.
