I found this writing from 2006 and wanted to share it with you:
“I have been looking for a place in my home that is mine…a sanctuary, a special place that smells and tastes like me, only me. A place where I could be free to think and explore, experiment, make mistakes and grow into someone new.
I now realize that the emotional and spiritual safe haven where I feel free is not a physical place, but a spiritually awakened field. It is where I take responsibility for myself and the choices that I have made in my life. It is the home for me as an adult with an open ear for my little girl’s voice. It is a loving, forgiving place for both of us.”
I love your sanctuary!
