My daughter and I needed a break from tedious trips to Staples and Best Buy. We drove to Mt.Shasta, just over the border into California, for a hike on a mountain trail. Alone on the trail, we decided to take off our shoes and gather some earth energy through our feet. Barefoot and soaking up negative ions from the ground, we were approached by a woman and her father hiking up the trail. They were surprised, but not shocked, to see people sitting on the ground with no shoes. After all, it was California. A lively conversation on a mystic mountain!
Being in Ashland for a few days was a good break from my initial frenetic pace in Santa Fe. I needed a fresh perspective to be sure that I wasn’t caught up in a surge of energy and excitement. But when I arrived back to New Mexico this afternoon, I knew that this is the place for me. I knew it in my heart. I felt it in my soul. I allowed the blue sky, fresh air and cadence of bubbly conversations engulf me and welcome me home.
Moving here would be a huge leap into the unknown, the not yet determined, the unknowable. Deepak Chopra says, “Embracing and flowing with uncertainty is an essential part of the path to freedom, peace, love and abundance. Uncertainty can be unsettling, but it is the source of our greatest joy. In order to attain anything in the physical universe, you have to relinquish your attachment to it. I believe. I trust. I let go.” Those words are reassuring to me. I am ushering in a strange and uncertain era. I’m shaking it up!
I believe that we all have so much power. I just want to use some of it.
